Managing strategically is a key factor in managing effectively, impacting needed change and accomplishing progress and success in any business area. I began to value Strategic Management several years ago and have incorporated the practices both professionally and personally to achieve many initiatives. What I learned through this process was invaluable and allowed me to gain the knowledge I needed to accomplish many further strategic priorities.

 

This e-portfolio walks you through my first strategic initiative - what I knew needed to be done, what I learned both formally and informally, the process, what was accomplished and next steps. There were several changes that I wanted to make and many areas that needed development such as defining staff roles, training, performance management and setting measurable goals. These areas were all interrelated and as I started to dive into what needed to be accomplished and how, it was clear that I needed a plan.
